bits and bobs

Over the years i have always hung on to old nick nacks and emphemera like tickets, papers, photos, book, stickers etc and over the last couple of weeks i have been on the hunt for some more vintage stuff. I have always loved old emphemera, the old typography, colour and just general wear and tear adding character and telling story. At the moment im working on a little project which will pull all these bits and pieces together... i will share with you in a couple of weeks.

But just had to share these two old photographs i came across the other week (they are no relation) how cute are they? especially the little girls face.

what i've been up to...

I have been busy designing a new cushion similar to the style of my San Francisco, Vegas and Paris cushions. I have just begun screen printing onto fabric and am about to add some colour and texture with a bit of machine embroidery.
Can you guess the theme of this cushion?... hmmmm

I'll post a photo of the finished product soon!

My San Francisco Cushion on Craftee

I got a phonecall off my brother tonight to let me know that he had found one of my embroidered cushions on a website.

My San Francisco cushion has been featured on Craftee. The 'Monday in Stitches' featured a selection of embroidered etsy finds.

A nice little surprise and thanks to my brother Josh for find it for me otherwise i would have been none the wiser!
